How cool is that? Will I be able to simply replace my old iPhone with a brand new one for free? Yes and no as certain conditions will apply.
If you purchased you iPhone after May 27th from AT&T then you will get a free replacement when the 3G iPhone arrives on July 11th. I wouldn’t understand why you did buy an iPhone 12 days prior to WWDC. Where do you live? …

Don’t get me wrong now, I am an Apple fan and particularly an iPhone fan but I am also trying objectivity for a change. So I’ll repeat the question, did we just get screwed by Apple?
While I am finally able to actually watch the WWDC 2008 I remember some of the things that weren’t included in the upgrade.
There’s no copy paste function. I know that must seem weird, still, but it …

Steve Jobs opened up his presentation with details about this whole event and boy how I wish I was present to attend the actual keynote and what followed afterwards. Hand on the iPhone 2 while asking questions to those Apple developers.
But instead of announcing what we all wanted, the 3G iPhone and its rumored specs, he started the keynote presenting the iPhone 2.0 platform which Apple has been developing since March, …

The 3G iPhone is going to be simultaneously launched in 22 countries on July 11th. Don’t worry if you aren’t in oneAppl of the 22 yet. Apple and its partners will bring the iPhone 2 to you by the end of the year if you are in one of the 48 remaining countries. And I would assume more countries are to be added to that rooster.
What I’d like to know is …

The day we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. Just a little two hours ago, Steve Jobs started his keynote. This was a sold out event with over 5k people present and millions of people worldwide watching almost live pictures and video coverage.
Finally, after a year, there’s a phone that beats the iPhone. We will call it the 3G iPhone.
Some of the rumors about the 3G iPhone came through and some …

In addition to the 3G iPhone, Apple announced MobileMe, a new Internet service that delivers push email, contacts and calendars from the service onto native apps on the iPhone, iPod touch, Macs and PCs. With a suite of ad-free web applications for a desktop-like experience, MobileMe includes Mail, Contacts and Calendar, as well as Gallery for viewing and sharing photos.
It’s essentially the corporate schtik for those not connected to an Exchange …

The Apple iPhone 3G version is here! Well, not that it comes as a big surprise, but it does deliver on all the promised goodies including a built-in GPS, iPhone 2.0 software that supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and the ability to run third-party applications built using the iPhone SDK.
Available starting July 11, the iPhone 3G will hit as many as 22 countries – including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Switzerland and the …

Verizon Wireless is doing everything to grow more and more while it’s aiming for being the number 1 cell phone carrier in the USA. They have recently bought Alltel out in a $28 billion deal and they will not stop there.
In the upcoming months they will roll out new handsets while upgrading network services where needed. Some of the most expected handsets are the Samsung i770 coming this fall and the …

With just a little over 24 hours to go to Steve Jobs’s keynote at the WWDC 2008, we are growing more and more anxious. And by we I mean of course everyone around the internet. Lots of blogs out there announcing more and more rumors and possible facts about Apple’s iPhone. Uhm, this sounds quite familiar…
Apple is prepairing too for the official iPhone worldwide release. Apparently their online store is going …

It seems that our friendly neighborhood carrier, AT&T doesn’t miss a thing while preparing for iPhone2. They have worked on the menu of their site, they must have finished the plans and asking prices, they have almost finished their full HSPA network in more than 250 markets. All these actions might make you think they are ready to deal with one of the bestsellers in cell phone business, the iPhone.
But …
