ZyXEL Unveils 4G Connectivity for Mobile Wireless Router

ZyXEL announced a free upgrade to its mobile wireless router model MWR211 that will add 4G cellular access as an option, enabling users to connect to Verizon LTE or Sprint WiMAX networks, via compatible USB dongles. The upgrade broadens consumers‘ options to connect to the highest-quality bandwidth for a superior wireless experience at no additional cost.
Commercially available since February 2011, the palm-sized, wireless router initially supported carrier-agnostic 3G wireless and wired Internet access. The MWR211 can operate using AC power or its rechargeable battery for on-the-go users. It lets any Wi-Fi capable device connect to the Internet anytime, anywhere. Ideal for business travelers, casual vacationers, RVs or kiosk applications, the MWR211 can work with any cellular provider’s data service.
